EDC provides a variety of services to
improve the quality of life in Warren County. One area where our skills are in
particularly high demand is in helping businesses and organizations to manage
costs and to locate the funds they need to grow.
Some of our recent successes in obtaining funds for local
projects demonstrate the broad range of funding resources we utilize:
- In 2009, EDC requested and received federal
funding assistance of $850,000 towards the total cost of $7.5 million for
two projects at the Floyd Bennett Memorial/Warren County Airport in
Queensbury.
- Since 2006, EDC has secured $348,500 from National Grid's "Main Street" matching grant
program for local developers moving toward completion of 151,200 square
feet of mixed-use space, representing $42.8 million in total investment.
- Representing the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority
(ORDA) and the Town of Johnsburg, EDC obtained a $135,000 matching grant to offset costs for new
electrical equipment for the North Creek Ski Bowl and Gore Mountain
Interconnect.
