TOP PRIORITIES FOR EDC

While there have been
signs for several months that the national economy may be weakening, here in Warren County the pace of growth appears relatively strong. New companies are arriving with employment opportunities, construction sites abound, and our local educational institutions are preparing for future workforce development.

“At EDC, we focus on the strategic research and planning, infrastructure development, financing, and real estate opportunities that make economic growth in Warren County possible. Our top priorities for 2008 encompass projects throughout our county,” notes EDC President Leonard Fosbrook.

If you want to maintain the pace of economic growth we have been fortunate to see in Warren County recently, we invite your active participation and membership in EDC. Call on EDC whenever we can provide information, expertise, or connections. Read more

Donate to Hospital and Park Projects -
Get a Tax Credit!

As part of the Empire Zone program administered by EDC, two local community development projects - the Glens Falls Hospital ER/OR modernization and the City Park improvement project - received approval in January for Zone Capital Credits. The credits will help these projects to raise funds for their capital improvements by making possible a 25% tax credit to individual donors who contribute above a specified amount. The tax credit is awarded in addition to whatever tax deduction a donor might be able to take on charitable contributions. Read more
