Finch Paper Purchases Former Glens Falls Armory

In April, Finch Paper LLC submitted the winning bid of $207,000 for purchase of the former Glens Falls Armory on Warren Street. The 38,000-square-foot, three-story building, constructed in the late 1890s, was home to the National Guard until last summer. The Armory was sold at public auction in Colonie by the New York State Office of General Services.

Finch leaders have recently been engaged in preliminary discussions with representatives of The Hyde Collection art museum regarding the museum’s possible future use of the property. The internationally recognized museum is located on Warren Street, adjacent to the armory property. Finch Paper has no plans at this time to use the armory for manufacturing or warehouse operations.
