EDC Wins Marketing Awards
EDC Warren County received three awards for its marketing communications materials at a conference in May of economic development organizations from throughout New York State. EDC’s 2007 Annual Report received a top-tier “Best of Class” award, one of only three Best of Class citations among 31 total awards given out by NYSEDC. EDC also received a Certificate of Excellence for its electronic newsletter and an Honorable Mention for its Web site.
“It is gratifying that our communications materials were so well-received by the marketing and advertising professionals who served as the judges,” notes Leonard Fosbrook, President of EDC. “Our print and electronic materials are important not only for communication with our members and local organizations, but also in attracting new businesses to Warren County.”
The New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC) announced the winners of its Marketing Awards on May 22 at the organization’s Annual Meeting in Cooperstown. The judges reviewed each entry for overall creativity and impact; copy clarity; appropriateness of message; and presentation of information (design/layout). Web sites were also assessed on organization and navigability; accessibility; and data quality.
Specific awards included Best in Class, Certificate of Excellence, and Honorable Mention. EDC Warren County was judged against comparable economic development organizations with marketing budgets less than $60,000. |
