CEG Presents Medical Device Industry Panel Featuring Keltjens, Erickson, and Fosbrook

Three medical device industry experts will be featured as the Center for Economic Growth (CEG) presents its next Bioconnex Forum “Medical Device Industry: Past, Present, Future.” The forum, co-sponsored by MedTech, will be held Wednesday, June 17 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Queensbury Hotel, 88 Ridge Street. The three panelists will be Jan Keltjens, president and chief executive officer of AngioDynamics, Queensbury; Heather Erickson, president of MedTech, Syracuse; and Len Fosbrook, president of EDC Warren County.

CEG

“There are powerfully compelling reasons why businesses in our region have become national leaders in the medical device industry,” said Michael Tucker, president and CEO of CEG. “We have a very well-educated and technically trained workforce, R&D partners with many local colleges and universities, and we have the support of local governments as well as non-profit partners such as CEG.”

Keltjens has more than 20 years of medical industry leadership including positions with CryCath Technologies, Inc.; Cordis, a Johnson & Johnson Company; and Uniliver. He has also been managing director of several high-tech companies.

Erickson was previously with Edgar, Dunn & Company and worked in the genomics research group at Chiron Corporation, now part of Novartis. She also did research at Yale Medical School.

Prior to his position as President at EDC, Fosbrook had 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, including serving as vice president of marketing for Namic, now Navilyst Medical, and for Universal Medical Instruments.
