Dr. Paul Mazur Named to EDC Board
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Paul Mazur to the EDC Board of Directors. Dr. Mazur is Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Adirondack Community College in Queensbury, NY. He also serves on the Board of the Adirondack Regional Business Incubator, and he is a member of the Tech Valley Workforce Consortium, which is encouraging the development of educational programming at many of the K-16 educational institutions to meet the employment demands emerging high tech industries will place on our area as the Tech Valley corridor continues to boom.

Prior to relocating to New York in the summer of 2006, Dr. Mazur worked at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, MN, for 19 years. While there, he taught courses in political science and Russian language and was twice elected President of the North Hennepin Faculty Association. In 1995-1996, he served as a legislative aide in Washington, D.C., to the late Senator Paul Wellstone, where he was responsible for tax, budget and foreign policy issues. From 1996 to 1999, he was a lobbyist for the Minnesota Community College Faculty Association at the state legislature. And from 1999 to 2006, he was the Dean of Liberal Arts at North Hennepin before moving into his current position at ACC.
