Glens Falls Leads Capital Region on GDP
The Bureau of Economic Analysis recently published estimates for the gross domestic product of the nation's metro areas. The bureau said the Glens Falls area had a 2005 GDP of $3.4 billion and grew by 3.6 percent from 2004 to 2005. That's significantly better than the Capital Region, which grew 0.6 percent during the same period. The bureau defines the GDP as the market value of goods and services produced within a particular period of time.
