Nano Bio Conference at RPI
As part of our efforts to better understand the potential regional impact of high-tech industry - especially in the field of nano and bio combined, we attended this conference at RPI's impressive biotech facility. Our goal is to continue to market Warren County as an ideal location for life-science industries, playing off our position of strength as a leading medical device cluster.

The RPI NanoBio 2007 presentation included a session on the future of the medical device industry and the impact nanotechnology will have on it. Advances in material composition as well as the development of sensors will have far reaching impacts on an already rapidly expanding sector of the biotech realm. In addition, several panelists discussed the coming convergence of the pharmaceutical and medical device worlds as medical devices become ever more sophisticated and capable of delivering new medicines, compounds and other drug therapies. This is particularly important in the area of cancer research presently.
