Edward Bartholomew is President of EDC Warren County. He also serves as the economic/community development director for the City of Glens Falls and was previously the city’s mayor.
His background includes leadership in many local organizations, which he continues to champion, including the Glens Falls Industrial Development Agency, the Greater Glens Falls Local Development Corporation, and the Adirondack Gateway Council.
In addition to working in his current Glens Falls economic development position since 2010, and serving as the Mayor of Glens Falls from 1978 to 1985, Ed was the Special Counsel for the New York Senate Majority, and formerly served as Legislative Counsel for the New York Department of Motor Vehicles. He also served in various capacities for Senator Ronald Stafford, then Assemblyman Jerry Solomon, and Congressman Carleton J. King. As an attorney, Ed’s practice of law has focused on municipal, school, planning, zoning and real estate matters
Ed graduated from Glens Falls High School, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Union College, and a law degree from Albany Law School.

John Wheatley is Vice President of EDC Warren County, where he is responsible for developing, implementing and tracking business development activities for the organization including business attraction and retention, existing business expansion, development, infrastructure and tracking real estate assets required to attract new investment. In 2006-2007, John was project manager for one of EDC’s signature initiatives: Queensbury Business Park road and infrastructure design, approval and construction.
John serves on the board of directors for the Saratoga Warren Washington Workforce Development Board (WDB) and is an executive committee member.
John joined EDC in 2005, bringing a strong background in commercial real estate from almost 20 years of experience with Robert Cohn Associates and then CBRE Albany both of which serviced a multi county region in the Albany, New York market. At CBRE Albany he served as Director of Marketing and Research. He received his undergraduate degree from Siena College.
