EDC Warren County President Jim Siplon Speaks at 2021 NYSEDC Annual Meeting

The New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC) held its annual meeting Sept. 28-30 at Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, New York.

NYSEDC promotes the economic development of the state and its communities, encourages sound practices in regional and statewide development programs, and develops education programs that enhance professional development skills of its members. 

The annual meeting focused on repositioning, repurposing and rebuilding communities. EDC Warren County President Jim Siplon was invited to speak on the panel Attracting and Retaining the Workforce for the Future. The focus was on fierce global competition to attract and retain talent and how local economic developers are employing talent recruitment and retention strategies to grow their regional economies. 

Jim was asked to speak at the event given his extensive 20+ years of experience in industrial operations and technology along with his ties to the business community.
