Proposed North Creek Sewer District Approved by Voters

Implementation of this project aims to substantially increase private investment in the North Creek area over time

The Town of Johnsburg announced this week that the community of North Creek, NY has approved a referendum to create a Sewer District. The affirmative vote by residents of North Creek marks the culmination of a multi-year effort to plan and fund this needed public infrastructure improvement.

The results of this referendum demonstrate a solid belief that infrastructure investment leads to a stronger community. This project will attract more private investment into North Creek. Numerous studies show that more private investment leads to a more vibrant community with good paying jobs, and improved funding for our local school and government services.

North Creek received $3.9 million in grant funding for this $7.8 million project.  While the system may take several years to deploy, the economic benefits will start to be realized almost immediately.
